Director of Dimensions School of Phonetics & Spoken English Noel Manuel on Monday called upon the students of Sainik School Punglwa to reinvent their essentials in life while underlining and knowing the difference between duties and responsibilities.
Addressing an impressive gathering of 250 cadets, teachers, defence officers and administrative staff at a phonetics and counseling workshop at the school premises, Noel defined the contrast linking one’s day to day responsibilities towards society and the need to tread the extra mile as a responsibility towards the country.
Dwelling on Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings, Noel reminded the students to take valuable lessons of simplicity and sagacity in pursuing their goals.
Noel also read passages from his newly released book ‘Messages for the Youth,’ to the delight of the audience.
The day long programme included an introduction on phonetics and the significance it has in developing our communicative skills.
Group Captain and principal B. Janardhan in his introductory speech highlighted the significance of the workshop with reference to the growing need of values and effective communication.
The school honoured Noel Manuel with a plaque, letter of appreciation and souvenirs. Several questions relating to phonetics were asked by the young cadets and each was provided with a convincing and cohesive response.
