ANEFWA to check pending bills
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) would be conducting recovery of pending bills for power department all over the state. In this connection, ANEFWA stated it would be compelled to cut off power line connections of defaulters against the government departments and individuals. In this regard, ANEFWA president Panger Pongen has requested all electricity consumers to clear their pending bills.
EDYO executive meeting
DIMAPUR: East Dimapur youth organization (EDYO) has convened an emergency executive meeting on November 14, 2pm at Horeb guest house, Purana bazaar. All executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
VFA training deferred
DIMAPUR: Principal, veterinary field assistant training institute, Medziphema has informed that entrance test for VFA training course at VFATI Medziphema, scheduled for November 14 has been deferred till further order. Informing this in a press release, the principal said that the date for the entrance test and other related matters would be notified in local dailies.
NTCA meeting
DIMAPUR: The 9th session of Nagaland Theological Colleges Association (NTCA) annual conference would be held on November 20 and 21 at New Life Bible College, Dimapur. The theme of the session is “Theological response to peace initiative in Nagaland.” Chubainla Jamir, director, higher education would be the guest speaker. Panel discussion will be held on the topic: “Peace building and Christian responsibility.” The panelists are Rev. Dr. Yepetso Wezah, Niketu Iralu, and Akum Longchari. All executive members and office bearers have been reminded to reach New Life Bible College on November 19 for a meeting at 2 pm.
DMC on allotment order
DIMAPUR: Chief Advisor, DMC, Er. K. Keditsu has informed all DMC allottees of New Market/Old Market/Hazi Park market that those who are yet to submit their allotment order/transfer order for execution of formal agreement to collect their deed of agreement against their respective stalls during office hours. DMC further directed those who have not submitted their allotment order to submit it on or before November 19. Necessary action would be taken against defaulter/s in the event of non-compliance of this notice, DMC informed.
AEBC get-together
DIMAPUR: The first get together programme of Alumni Eastern Bible College (AEBC) Dimapur concluded on November 5. The programme was graced by Robin Ezung as chief guest who donated `10,000 towards Alumni fund. Meanwhile, AEBC had elected a new team of office bearers for 2 years tenure led by David Khobeng as president, L. Mary as general secretary, and Ezung Sangma as treasurer among five other executives.
RCC general meeting
DIMAPUR: The 8th general meeting of Residency Colony Council (RCC) Dimapur will be held on November 17 at the council treasurer’s residence (H/No-93) at 10am. Head of family from every household has been requested to attend the meeting.
UBC inauguration, dedication programme
DIMAPUR: New church building of United Baptist Church (UBC) Choto Lengri K/A Assam was inaugurated and dedicated on November 10 by chief guest E. T. Ezung and Rev. Y. T. Lotha respectively. While urging the believers to live in unity and to keep faith in God, the chief guest also donated financial assistance and promised to install electricity in the Church.
HASSU emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Highway Area Sumi Students’ Union (HASSU) has been convened on November 15 at WSH building, Chekiye village at 10am. The meeting has been convened to discuss about the cultural programme for the forthcoming HASSU general conference. All unit cultural secretary and HASSU officials have been requested to attend the meeting.
GHS Pughoboto board meeting
DIMAPUR: Government high school, Pughoboto managing board meeting was held on October 29 at the office of the headmaster. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of additional deputy commissioner and chairman, school managing board, Chumremo Odyuo. Besides highlighting on various school issues, headmaster and secretary managing board, GHS requested the school chairman to issue permit for the proposed building of concrete fencing under RMSA fund as resolved during the meeting.
WTU meet at Wokha
DIMAPUR: Wokha Colonies Union (WTU) has called for an emergency meeting on November 15, 10.30am at GB’s Court PWD Wokha town. Secretary, WTC, Kothungo Ezung in a press release has informed all colonies representatives and members to attend the meeting.

DIMAPUR: Apropos to the news item on ultimatum to Nagaland University VC by Post Graduate Students’ Union which was published in this daily on November 12 under the caption ‘PGSU-L reiterates demand’, the union should be read as Post Graduate Students’ Union, Kohima campus and not as rendered.
Confirmation pension for Gr-111 & 1V
DIMAPUR: Chief medical officer, Dimapur has informed that quarterly medical board for confirmation/invalidation and commutation pension for Gr-111& 1V (non gazetted) would be held on November 18 and 19, 10 am at office of chief medical officer, Dimapur. All heads of department under Dimapur district have been requested to submit the name and particulars of the intending candidate with the purpose for which he/she would appear before the board within seven days of the schedule date.
ATMA trg in Wokha
DIMAPUR: District level farmers’ training-cum-seed distribution on winter crops was held on November 9 at community hall Wokha village, sponsored by ATMA, Wokha and organised by department of agriculture, Wokha.
ADC (designate) Wokha, Anthony Ngullie was the chief guest, accompanied by EAC, Wokha Shying Shiu who gave away packages of seed to all participating villages, khels and self help groups.
