Nagaland’s first ever technical festival “TechAura 2010”, organized by engineering students’ council of School of Engineering & Technology and Management (SETAM) Nagaland University concluded at SETAM-NU campus, Dimapur on Saturday. NU vice chancellor Professor K. Kannan, who graced the closing function of the four-day event as chief guest, in his speech asserted that SETAM-NU which had been established in 2007, was the fastest growing institution of NU.
Stating that SETAM-NU faculty, although not very strong, had shown good perseverance since the time of the inception of the school. Professor Kannan appreciated the faculty on setting “the standards for the university.”
He also said that he envisioned the school of becoming a landmark institution in a few years time.
While lauding the organizers of the technical event, the VC assured the students of his support whenever they wanted to initiate “anything positive.”
Besides delegates from various colleges in Nagaland, around 60 students of engineering colleges of the northeast participated at the four-day long technical extravaganza.
