The Joint Working Group(JWG) comprising of members of groups whose leaders are signatories of the Covenant of Reconciliation spearheaded by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation(FNR)will hold the next consultative meet at Chiangmai, Thailand sometime on November 25.
According to sources, while the GPRN/NSCN and the NNC/FGN will attend the meet, though the NSCN/GPRN could not be contacted. According to the sources, the meet could give fillip to the urging upon all the leaders of the groups who are signatories of the covenant -Isak Chishi Swu, S.S.Khaplang and Brig (Retd)S.Shingnya- to hold a joint meet. On September 18 , both the ato kilonsers of the two NSCNs-along with FGN president reaffirmed the covenant of reconciliation.
The reconciliation process is presently on a bumpy road with rival NSCN groups hitting out at each other through the media over various incidents.
