NSCN (I-M) on Sunday came down hard on GPRN/NSCN, alleging that the group has backtracked to “their old habit of preying on innocent lives in spite of the Covenant of Reconciliation” for killing a NSCN (I-M) cadre, one “2nd lieutenant” Raining at Arunachal Pradesh on November 11. According to PRO/GHQ NSCN (I-M) “Col.” Levi Zimik, Raining was killed in cold-blood while going to nearby village Chumpu in Miao sub-division of Changlang district, alone and unarmed, on official duty. Drawing the attention of all, particularly the FNR, Zimik said the act was typical of “vengeful gangsters”, not having compunction to kill a “Naga brother” even at a crucial time when all Nagas vouched to forgive one another. He said it was high time that Nagas identified “the enemy within” and realized that there were elements in the Naga society who did not want to see Nagas reconcile.
