Boscome annual day cum children’s day

: Boscome annual day cum children’s day was celebrated at Boscome Signal Bosti, Dimapur with Geoffrey Yaden, Chief Editor Nagaland Post as the chief guest on Monday.
“Human development is more important than book knowledge when it come to education”, said Geoffrey Yaden while speaking as the chief guest.
Describing teaching as a divine calling, the chief guest urged teachers of Bosome centers to set a good example by words and deeds keeping in mind that students copy what the teachers do and say.
Stating that knowledge alone was not everything, the chief guest called upon teachers to instill human touch while imparting education to the children.
Boscome is a charitable organization run by Don Bosco community (Salesians) providing free education to the deprived and downtrodden. In Dimapur, Boscome runs nine schools located at Rio Colony, Signal I and Signal II, Metha, Nagagaon, Lomithi, K. Sachu, Thahekhu and Kevijau and caters around 502 children altogether.
The programme also witnessed various competitions such as singing, story telling and general knowledge.
Earlier in his introductory words, Fr, T.O Sebastian, in-charge Boscome welcomed the chief guest, Geoffrey Yaden, Fr. James Provincial Salesian community, Dimapur province and other Fathers, staff and parents on the occasion.
