Police rescue kidnapped officer

Manipur police commandos today rescued the official of the Manipur University Engineering Cell kidnapped by PREPAK cadres and also arrested two of the kidnappers. The two arrested kidnappers were identified as Yumnam Amarjit alias Abung and Wahengbam Deben alias Nongyai belong to PREPAK. A 9 mm pistol loaded with five live rounds was recovered from the cadres, Imphal west senior SP, L Kailun said.
