Amway gifts books to children of KODH

With its commitment towards inclusive growth of children, Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF) on Monday celebrated Children’s Day in Kohima with the children of Kohima Orphanage & Destitute Home. (KODH)
At a formal function, Amway Opportunity Foundation presented educational stationary to the children of KODH on behalf of Amway Opportunity Foundation. To add to the celebration on Children’s Day, children also enthralled the audience with a musical soirée.
Rup Jyoti Das, Executive training Amway handed over books to the children of KODH. In her address, Zaputou-ü Angami, chairman KODH thanked Amway for helping KODH in many ways and hoped Amway would continue to help them in future.
KODH, the oldest orphanage in Kohima is the sunrise partner of Amway Opportunity Foundation. Amway Opportunity Foundation is committed to support the organization in the field of health, education and access to safe drinking water. AOF has undertaken annual educational sponsorship for the children and provide annual transportation cost and educational stationary for school going children at the orphanage.
This year, Amway Opportunity Foundation will extend aid for all children in keeping with the commitment under Project Sunrise. Project Sunrise is supported by Amway’s Global CSR initiative and will extend to 52 orphanages across the country.
This Project is primarily supported by Amway’s 50th year anniversary funds, where AOF will engage partnerships with NGOs to support on-going education, healthcare (with focus on access to safe drinking water) and nutrition,” said Diptarag Bhattacharjee, Vice President - East, Amway, also a volunteer of AOF.
AOF partnered with different orphanages and NGOs in locations like Kolkata, Asansol, Siliguri, Guwahati, Shillong, Imphal, Aizawl, Silchar, Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Patna and Ranchi in Eastern India.
