GPRN/NSCN kilonser, Y. Wangtin Naga has reiterated that the Naga national workers should first reconcile and then prepare a ground for collective talk with the government of India to ensure permanent solution. He, however, said since the NSCN (I-M) wanted to continue talk with government of India without consulting other political groups, the GPRN/NSCN under the leadership of S. S. Khaplang and N. Kitovi Zhimomi would sit down and see how far NSCN (I-M) could go without unanimity among Naga political groups. “My priority mandate is among different Naga political groups then go for public mandate,” Wangtin said. The kilonser said right from day one of reconciliation process, he placed an agenda on behalf of GPRN/NSCN and Nagas that the current NSCN (I-M) talks must be halted and that the Naga talks should be started collectively by combining all Naga groups. Referring to the NSCN (I-M)’s move for carrying on reconciliation and talk with the government of India simultaneously, Wangtin said “a man cannot sail on two boats at a time.” He also said it was clear that the NSCN (I-M) wanted every body to be a party to their dialogue which was not possible.
