: Taking a step forward toward austerity measures, the Nagaland government has reportedly served a notification reminding the state ministers and parliamentary secretaries to cut down their entertainment and hospitality expenses, stating it would not bear any extra entertainment expenses incurred by them beyond their entitlement.
The chief minister’s office had reportedly issued the notification informing all the state ministers and parliamentary secretaries that any additional entertainment and hospitality expenses beyond their entitlement will not be borne from the state exchequer.
The notification had forced many ministers and parliamentary secretaries to limit their expenses such as serving mineral water and limiting serving tea and snacks in their respective offices.
The chief minister, ministers and parliamentary secretaries are presently entitled for Rs 4000 per month as entertainment and hospitality allowances.
