Imtila accorded warm farewell

State government on Tuesday accorded an official farewell to M. Imtila Jamir, registrar of cooperative societies, Nagaland, in the conference hall of RCS office Kohima in an impressive ceremony. The programme was chaired by Visutha Angami, commissioner and secretary to the government of Nagaland, cooperation department officers across the districts, officials from various state level federations viz., Nagaland state cooperative union, Nagaland state cooperative Bank Ltd. Nagaland State Marketing & Consumers’ Federation Ltd. (MARCOFED), WEAFED, State Dairy Federation Ltd., Entrepreneurs Associates Thrift & Credit Cooperative Federation Ltd. Nagaland State Cooperative Field Service Association congratulated her successful 35 years of service. M. Imtila Jamir joined government service in 1975 and served as registrar of cooperative societies for the last three years and seven months. She was instrumental in implementation of Sri Vaidyanathan Short Term Cooperative Credit Structuring (Revival Package) in the state, modernization and upgradation of Cooperative Training Centre, Integrated Cooperative Development Programme in Dimapur, Zunheboto and Mon districts and collaboration with the Institute of Rural Management, Anand for setting up of an institute of higher learning. Further, during her short tenure as RCS, various streamlining of departmental activities and establishment matters could be initiated.
