Green-Sons on fireworks and wild animal products

Green Succession of Nagaland State (Green-Sons) has advocated against burning of crackers and fireworks and selling of wild animal products in the state.
A press statement issued by Green-Sons chairman Jess T. Murry while extending Deepawali greetings to the Hindu community of Nagaland, appealed to community to refrain from burning crackers and any sort of firework to avoid sound pollution, eventuality of air and rain water pollution.
The organization also requested fireworks vendors and suppliers to stop selling such items in the state, particularly in Dimapur and Kohima. It cautioned that volunteers would be dispatched to check such activities and initiate stern action on defaulters.
Green-Sons also appealed to the citizens of Nagaland to stop buying wild animals/products from hunters and sellers in the market. It warned that such items would be confiscated and fine would be imposed without any warning, with immediate effect.
