NSCN (I-M) ‘Naga army’ reaffirms oath

NSCN (I-M) “Naga army” has vowed to safeguard the “freedom” at all cost with renewed strength and zeal, while also reaffirmed the “Oath of Allegiance to the sacred cause of the Nation”.
According to a communiqué from NSCN (I-M) “Naga army” PRO “col.” Levi Zimik, this “formal declaration” was adopted at the three-day “commanders’ conference” at GHQ attended by high ranking officers of Naga Army along with commanders from all units.
A keynote address sent by NSCN (I-M) “Yaruiwo” (president) Isak Chishi Swu was read out to the audience, the communiqué stated.
“The three-day conference, in contemplation of past experiences and making intensive analysis of the issues confronting the Nagas from different angles at present, finally culminated in adopting a formal declaration,” said Zimik.
The declaration read: “The fact that freedom is an inherent right of the Nagas, it is the bounden duty of Naga Army to safeguard this right at all cost. The commanders, therefore unanimously vowing to work towards this end with renewed strength and zeal, hereby reaffirmed the Oath of Allegiance to the sacred cause of the Nation, this day the 28th October 2010.”
