The State Bank of India, evening branch, which had been observing vigilance awareness week from October 25-November 1, conducted a small programme within the bank premises on Friday.
Proprietor of Breeze restaurant Ato Yepthomi was the chief guest for the programme while Dr. Hukashe of Nagaland Development Outreach was the guest of honour. Chief guest Ato Yepthomi in his speech highlighted a various types of frauds and cheating, especially with regard to credit cards. A customer of SBI evening branch since 1984, Yepthomi also expressed his concern over the growing incidents of criminals using all sorts of methods to rob the people.
Guest of honor Dr. Hukashe expressed hope that such kind of awareness week to be held all time of the year alone.
Delivering the welcome speech, Chief Manager S Ahmed elucidated the gathering on the various banking frauds which usually place everywhere. He also further expressed his views on the anti-corruption issue.
A short speech on the banking awareness for customers was also given by deputy secretary SBI Staff Association, A Lolly Moses.
