Eastern Academy Residential School celebrates parents day

Eastern Academy Residential School, 3rd mile celebrated its parent’s day on October 30 with MLA and former chief minister K.L. Chishi as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Chishi described children as the jewels and ornaments of the parents and exhorted those parents to polish and magnify their children in the right direction. “Children will be the mirror of your home”, the chief guest told the parents.
Chishi also lauded the management, faculty members, students and the parents for their contribution in enabling the school grow from “strength to strength”.
With an enrollment of 580 plus students within a span of five years, testifies the tremendous growth the academy has achieved, the former chief minister asserted.
In a gesture of support the chief guest introduced a running trophy - Parents’ Day Running Trophy -which will be presented to the best student.
Highlights of the programme included a wide array of entertaining items, presented by the students.
Later, prizes were given to the students by the chief guest and former speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly ET Ezung.
