St. Francis Church, Shamator, marked the concluding day of the month long Rosary devotion with solemnity on October 31.
The final day celebration beginning with the Holy Mass in the morning ended with the Eucharistic adoration with candle lights leading the procession in the evening hours.
The reflection of the day was on the life-event of Mother Mary searching for boy Jesus while returning home after the feast in Jerusalem.
The event, Fr. Francis Yimso said, “Is getting repeated in the lives of many, of course with a deviation. In our times, parents leave their children to chances and pretend that everything is alright. As it happened to Mother Mary, it is time for us to go back to search for our dear children. Walk back into your lives; go in search of your children. Rediscover your own children and in this process rediscover the lost Jesus of your life”.
The special honour and respect given to Mary, Mother of Jesus in the Catholic Church is often misinterpreted and the meaning lost by many Christian denominations, he said.
Rosary is a rich traditional prayer, often used as family prayer over the centuries by the Catholics. It is a vocal prayer backed by the contemplation on the key events in the life of Jesus seeking the intercession of Mother Mary.
It is called Rosary, meaning a garland of roses, indicating the repeatedly recited prayers form a garland of intercession for oneself and the humanity.
