GHS, PWD Kohima inaugurated

Government High School (GHS), PWD Kohima was inaugurated on October 30 by Mhathung Kithan, IAS, commissioner and secretary, school education.
In his inaugural speech, Mhathung Kithan expressed that most of the government schools in Nagaland were not functioning well, the way they should.
He said schools were communitized but the true spirit of the communitization was not found in most of the schools and appealed the community to participate in the management of school and ensure that the schools were run in the true spirit of communitization.
He also pointed out that in every field, discipline played an important role in molding and shaping every individual and said students without discipline can never achieve anything in life.
He urged students to discipline themselves and respect others so they could earn respect from others, adding that with indiscipline prevailing in the present society, nobody cares to shoulder their responsibilities and blame others when they fail to achieve their goal.
He also appealed the students teachers and parents to remove the ‘blame-game’ by knowing their own responsibilities.
The inaugural function was chaired by Thapi Semy, chairman, WEC, welcome speech was delivered by Atoulie Pienyu, teachers-in-charge. Ketsodil Neikha, chairman of PWD Panchayat expressed a word of gratitude. Zaveyi Nyekha, DEO, Kohima, WEC members, PWD Panchayat and elders of PWD colony attended the function.
