Interactive session
DIMAPUR: An interactive session among the various departments of Wokha district would be held on November 6 with regard to various issues to the district. The session is part of the road show-cum-Tokhu Emong festival. All Lotha officers of the state have been requested to be present at the consultative meet to provide valuable suggestions and ideas for the betterment of the district.
Youth seminar in Tuli
DIMAPUR: Tuli Lenden Baptist Arogo youth department organized a youth seminar on October 16 under the theme ‘Wholistic guide’. Areas covered in the seminar were held under the guidance of Dr. Amen, CHC Tuli, Temjen, lecturer, Alder College Kohima, Marsanen, Tuli Mem, NPPC and Toshi, pastor TLBA. The youth department also thanked every one for offering their prayers.
GPS room extension program
KOHIMA: The Government Primary School (GPS) Porterlane, Kohima additional class room would be inaugurated on November 4, at 10 am with Dr. Nicky Kire, MLA and chairman NKVIB and adviser MTF as chief guest.
Pentecostal Church convention
KOHIMA: The Pentecostal Church convention and divine healing services would be held from November 4 to 7 at local ground, Kohima.
ANTA combined meeting
KOHIMA: A combined meeting of All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) executives has been convened on November 3, 11 am at its union’s office, Kohima to discuss on its annual picnic cum election programme.
State level science exhibition
KOHIMA: State level science exhibition on the theme “Science and technology for challenges in life” would be held on November 3, 9.30 am at Government Higher Secondary School Kohima with Vipralhou Kesiezie, director SCERT as chief guest.
AASU joint meeting
DIMAPUR: Ato Area Students’ Union (AASU) has convened a joint meeting on November 6, 10 am at the residence of its banker at Nihokhu. Area GBs, VCC, AASU advisors and executives have been requested to attend the meeting.
DIC Wokha workshop
DIMAPUR: District Industries Centre (DIC), Wokha has informed that there would be a workshop-cum-interaction session on November 6, 1pm at LTC hall Wokha as per the direction of deputy commissioner and chairman core committee state road show-cum-Tokhu Emong. All beneficiaries and entrepreneurs have been requested to attend the session.
GPT under DIS Zbto annual meet
DIMAPUR: Government primary teachers (GPT) under deputy inspector of schools Zunheboto has convened an annual general meeting on November 5, 9 am at EBRC project colony, Zunheboto. All teachers have been requested to attend the meeting.
Baghty valley mineral belt land owners meet
DIMAPUR: Baghty valley mineral belt land owners have convened a general meeting on November 13, 10 am at Baghty town hall. The following villages, Lakhuti, Sunglup, Yonchucho, Sanis and Meshangpen have been requested to attend the meeting.

DIMAPUR: Yorunami welfare union Dimapur district (YWUDD) has invited all Yorubamis and in-laws residing in Dimapur for its annual picnic on November 6, hosting by Vekhosa Nyekha, 4th mile Diphupar Dimapur.
PHEDDESA executive meeting
DIMAPUR: PHED diploma engineers’ service association (PHEDDESA) has convened an emergency executive meeting on November 19, 11 am at the residence of its president at D.C court junction Dimapur. All office bearers, executive members and joint secretaries have been requested to attend the meeting.
DEO Dimapur inform BLOs
DIMAPUR: District election officer, Dimapur has informed all BLOs assigned duty under 4-GHS-1 & 3-DMR-111 A/Cs under the jurisdiction of EAC Chumukedima to collect necessary forms and papers relating to ongoing revision of E/Rolls on November 2 from the undersigned office during office hours.
ENWOKU new office bearers
DIMAPUR: Eastern Naga women organization Kohima unit (ENWOKU) has elected a new office bearers for the tenure 2010-2013, with Theanglih Yanlem as president, Mapula Sangtam as vice president, W Toshila Yimchungru as general secretary, T Osangjungla Phom as joint secretary, I Asenla Chang as finance secretary and treasurer Mongshai Khiamniungan.
Fishing banned at Maova village
DIMAPUR: Maova youth organization (MYO) in consultation with the village council held an emergency meeting on October 20 and unanimously resolved to prohibit fishing, using of bleaching powder, lime and thiodan etc., in the areas covered by Maova village. Anybody violating would be penalized and imposed a fine of `5000, added MYO.
NGOs meet in Dimapur
DIMAPUR: ADC Dimapur and chairman of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has informed all directors, chairperson of orphanages, children home, children institution, adoption centers run by NGOs in Dimapur district to attend a consultation meeting November 2, 11 am at DC’s conference hall. The meeting is being organized by Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
NTA induction programme
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Tourism Association (NTA) has convened induction-cum-orientation programmme for aspiring candidates who have duly submitted their membership application forms on November 3, 4 pm at Hotel Japfu, Kohima. All applicants and previously registered senior members have been notified to attend the programme. Those applicants failing to attend the programme without concrete reasons would be liable for non acceptance of the membership, added NTA.
Assam Regiment re-union 2010
DIAMPUR: Zila Sainik Welfare Dimapur has informed all ex- servicemen of Assam Regiment that the Regiment’s re-union would be held from November 10 -12, 2010 at Assam Regimental centre, Shillong. All interested ex-servicemen of the Assam Regiment are requested to register their names from their respective district ZSB office by November 5. Ex-servicemen of Dimapur and Peren districts have been requested to register their names at Sainik Bhawan, near Circuit House, Dimapur.
BCCA sports meet
DIMAPUR: Baptist Churches Changtongya Area (BCCA) combined youth fellowship and sports meet was held on October 30 at public play ground Changtongya town. Altogether four houses- Adidas, Reebok, Nike and Converse participated in the sports meet which included games like girls’ volley ball, boys’ football, athletics and tug of war. Overall champion was bagged by the Adidas house. Prizes were distributed by Talimoa, youth director Yaongmisen Compound Baptist Church.
