TSUD general conference
DIMAPUR: Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) will hold its 4th general conference-cum-fresher’s meet on November 6, 10 am at Town Hall Dimapur. Minister for planning and coordination, V&AH, evaluation and parliamentary affairs T.R. Zeliang will be gracing the occasion as chief guest, while superintendent of police Dimapur Zekotso Mero will be guest of honour. TSUD has requested all its member students, seniors, elders and well wishers to attend the programme.
DEO Dimapur inform B.Ed applicants
DIMAPUR: District education officer (DEO) Dimapur has informed all applicants of B.Ed training for 2010-11 to collect forms by November 3. Completed forms along with necessary documents to the DEO’s office Dimapur on or before November 9.

ICC to conduct strike surveillance
DIMAPUR: Imkonglenden colony council (ICC) Dimapur, chairman P.Supong Jamir and Secretary T.Toshi Ao has informed that ICC, Dimapur will be conducting strike surveillance in and around the colony with a view to safe guard the properties and lives of the colony against all means of illegal activities. ICC has further informed that appropriate action will be initiated by the colony council against defaulters.
DIS Dimapur on GPF balance sheet
DIMAPUR: Deputy Inspector of schools, Dimapur Y.Khetoshe Yepthomi has informed all head teacher/ teacher-incharge under DIS Dimapur to collect GPF balance sheet of their respective teachers from November 3 onward from office. Individual will not be given the balance sheet, added DIS.
NZC emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Northern Zeme council (NZV) president, Vikuolie informed all land owners of Ngaulwa range and Puana range that there will be an emergency meeting at Dimapur town hall on November 5 at 10 am. Two members from each village ranges and Zeme government officers have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.

DIMAPUR: Atoizu town Baptist church (ABC) (SBAK-Nito mount) would be hosting fathers’ camping from November 4-7 at Tishi valley where Rev. Ahoto Awomi, Evangelist SBAK-Nito mount has consented to be the main speaker. All fathers under ABC have been requested to attend the camping without fail.

15th NAP (IR) Mahila Bn seminar on HIV and AIDS
DIMAPUR: 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Bn conducted two days seminar on HIV and AIDS on October 29 and 30 at Chumukedima, initiated by DGP K. Kire (IPS) where resource persons were project manager of NOSSAL institute for global health, Dr. Joyce Angami; and state communication officer of overcoming stigma and discrimination project (OSDP), Menosaü Kevichusa.
Mass social at Zunheboto
DIMAPUR: Hectic preparations are on for forthcoming Ahuna festival cum Road Show scheduled on November 13 and 14 at public ground Zunheboto. In this connection, a mass social has been scheduled for November 6 where district administration accompanied by advisor ZTC and GB would verify the site to give necessary instructions to the town dwellers such as removing of bamboos and trees causing inconveniences to commuters. According to an official bulletin, to keep the town neat and clean every household have been directed to dig a pit in their surrounding houses measuring about 3 sq. feet and to be completed before November 10 as per ZTC Order No.ZTC/Cattle:5/2000-2001/690 dated Zunheboto 31st August 2010, and also directed that stray cows found within the town area would be shot.
‘Zoommax’ from November 3
DIMAPUR: Students of School of Management Studies, Nagaland University will be organizing their annual management festival ‘Zoommax’ under the theme “Strive for self reliance” from November 3 and 4 at their campus located at DC Court Junction, Dimapur. More than 20 colleges are expected to compete in various cultural and literary events. Some of the events are quiz, debate, singing, dancing, fashion show etc., to name a few. The organizing committee is putting all effort to emulate last year’s performance of their seniors. The organizing committee has requested students, teachers and parents to come and watch the show and encourage the young talents.
Mokokchung census cell inform public
DIMAPUR: SDO (civil) & charge officer, Mokokchung Kesonyu Yhome IAS, has informed that canvassing/ enumeration for institutional households and left out cases would commence from November 1. In this connection residents and indigenous of Mokokchung town who have been inadvertently left out during the phase-I of census operations carried out during June 1-15 have been notified to report (submit application) to the census cell, office of the Deputy commissioner Mokokchung on or before November 6 during office hours.
