NGBF executive meeting
DIMAPUR: Nagaland GB federation (NGBF) has convened an executive meeting on November 19 at 11am at commission office conference hall, Kohima. All NGBF office bearers and president/general secretaries of district GB association have been requested to attend the meeting
Netaji foundation appeals
DIMAPUR: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose foundation and organizations of northeast India have resolved to approach central government to declare January 23, Netaji’s birthday as ‘Deshprem Divas’. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Memorial Development Society Nagaland (NSMN) stated that the resolution was arrived at NE Netaji foundation citizens’ convention held October 30 at Lumding. Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Barun Mukherjee (West Bengal) was the chief guest of the occasion. The house resolved to urge respective state governments to consider the matter and organize Netaji societies, associations and organizations in NE states.
VDB trg in eight districts
DIMAPUR: The department of rural development will be imparting training to the members and secretaries of VDB Peren, Dimapur, Mon, Tuensang, Kiphire, Longleng, Phek and Zunheboto districts, starting from November 17 to 25 with S. Pangnyu Phom, Parliamentary Secy. RD & REPA as chief guest of the training in all the eight districts. VDB training programme would be held in Peren on November 17, Dimapur on November 18, Mon on November 23, Tuensang on November 24 and Kiphire on November 25. Project directors and concerned BDOs have been requested to ensure participation of all the VDB secretaries and members in the training.
Fete day at Chiechama
KOHIMA: Sugotsumia Thinuo Krotho, Chiechama village would be organizing a fete day on November 6 at Old Local Ground, Chiechama. The Krotho directed all members to contribute and also participate in the programme.
PSUK emergency meeting
KOHIMA: Emergency meeting of Pochury Students’ Union Kohima (PSUK) has been convened on November 6 at 11a.m at the residence of its president. All executive and representative members have been requested to attend the meeting.

KOHIMA: Thenyizumi Students’ Union Kohima (TSUK) will be holding a seminar on sustainable livelihood at LCS Building, near Ao Church, Midland, Kohima on November 6 at 10am.
CSUK convenes consultative meeting
KOHIMA: Second Chakhesang Students’ Union Kohima (CSUK) will hold its 2nd consultative meeting with the golden jubilee committee on November 6, 10am at Chakhesang Baptist Church Kitsubozou. All committee conveners and members have been requested to attend the meeting.
CRDK song practice session
KOHIMA: Singing practice for members of Chiecha Ramia Dzevi Krotho (CRDK) for the forthcoming Chiechama centenary celebration will be held on November 7, 1pm at Central Christian Revival Church D Block Kohima.
DRDK picnic
KOHIMA: Dihoma Ramia Dzevi Krotho (DRDK) would be organising a picnic on November 13 at secretariat Kohima. All members have been requested to reach the venue by 10am. Bus service would be available from BOC traffic point starting at 8.30am.
NSF 4th federal assembly
DIMAPUR: Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has convened its 4th federal assembly for the tenure 2009-11 on November 19 at Parashen, Tseminyu sub-division from 10 am onwards. Presidents and representatives of NSF federating units, subordinate bodies and senior leaders have been informed to attend the assembly.
DEO Dimapur inform private schools
DIMAPUR: District education officer (DEO) Dimapur has informed heads of private schools (recognized/un-recognized) in Dimapur to report to DEO’s office Dimapur with supporting documents on or before November 15 during office hours. Private schools running hostels attached to school, as well as hostel and coaching centre and institutes to submit photocopy of permit and renewal papers. Failure to comply with this notice would be viewed seriously, the DEO added.

WSBPF biennial conference
DIMAPUR: Western Sumi Baptist pastors’ fellowship (WSBPF), Dimapur under Sumi Baptist Churches association (SBCA) Dimapur comprising of 157 pastors would be organizing three day conference from November 12 at Longtong Baptist church upper Assam. Rev. S.Vitoshe Swu E.S WSBAK would be the speaker, and minister of power and industries government of Assam, P. Bordoloi as chief guest at cultural programme. All pastors under WSBAK have been requested to attend the conference.
EBC gospel musical night
DIMAPUR: Alumni Eastern Bible College (EBC), Dimapur would be organizing a gospel musical night on November 5 at EBC chapel hall at 4pm. All have been invited to come and to be blessed.
KVC meeting on centenary celebration
DIMAPUR: Kiyezu village council (KVC) has convened a meeting on November 5, 10 am at Kiyezu village to discuss matters pertaining to its forthcoming centenary celebration. Council has requested presidents and secretaries of Western Sumi Hoho and Western Sumi Kukami Hoho, and chairman and secretary of various areas to attend the meeting.

DIMAPUR: The 30th general session of Merangkong Students’ Union Dimapur (MSUD) would be held on November 5, 9:30 a.m at the residence of its treasurer, Nagagaon colony. All members have been informed to attend the session attired in traditional clothes.

DIMAPUR: DABA youth ministry’s Lanur Senden 2010 finale would be held on November 5 at Noune Resort, Showuba. Participants have been requested to gather at town fellowship premises by 9 am.

DIMAPUR: Meeting of Langpangkong students’ conference (LKM) scheduled on November 6 has been postponed to November 13 owing to “unavoidable circumstances.” All LKM executive members, unit president and senior students have been requested to attend the meeting.
SAKK to organize musical talent
KOHIMA: Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK) would be organizing a musical talent show under the theme “Harmonic reflections- an Aphuyemi youth musical ensemble” at the State Academy Hall, Kohima on November 11 at 3:30pm. The main objective of the event is to showcase and promote musical talents of Sumi Aphuyemi. Y. Kiqheto Sema, additional secretary, finance department (budget) will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Further SAKK has felicitated Bokato Kiho on winning Nagas Got Talent 2010.
MLBC organises youth camp
DIMAPUR: Medziphema Lotha Baptist Church (MLBC) youth fellowship held a youth camp on the theme ‘Revitalization’ on October 30 at MLBC. Sumi Baptist Church Medziphema pastor Kakheto Ayemi was the theme speaker of the camp while Tetso College Dimapur lecturer Shitio Shitiri exhorted the youth on developing lifelong goals towards excellence, and Prodigal’s Home Dimapur project manager Naro spoke on HIV and AIDS awareness. MLBC youth fellowship has expressed gratitude to church members and all those who extended support towards the programme.
Sensitization prog on MDM at Kiphire
DIMAPUR: Sensitization programme for mid-day meal to VEC/TEC chairman and secretaries for Kiphire district was held on October 28 at Hopongknyu memorial hall. According to DIS Kiphire Y.Shahoto Yim, DC, Kiphire C. M. Tsanglao, stressed on proper implementation of MDM scheme and called upon VEC/TEC not to misuse the scheme which was meant for the school children.

KOHIMA: Akuluto-VK Area Union Kohima would be celebrating Ahuna festival at Highland Park near Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima on November 13 at 11 am. Miscreants loot documents
DIMAPUR: Officials documents belonging to speaker (U/A) of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union were reportedly stolen by some miscreants at Supermarket area, Dimapur on Wednesday.
According to DNSU sources, some miscreants broke opened the door look of a Maruti car and stole, DNSU speaker’s seal, official pad, personal dairy, visiting card, DNSU office documents including a laptop CQ45 Compaq when the owner of the car had gone to buy vegetables and fruits.
With regard to this, the DNSU appealed to those responsible to return the belongings to the DNSU office located near Public College of Commerce Dimapur or to contact 8014061974, 9862128807 and 9856272273.
Oral interview for LDA candidates
DIMAPUR: Additional director (HoD), Z. Messen has notified that oral interview for the post of LDA-cum-computer assistants/junior accounts assistants under the directorate of Nagaland state lotteries and the directorate of treasuries and accounts would be held at the conference hall of SIRD, near directorate of rural development, New secretariat complex, Kohima and not in the directorate of treasuries and accounts, Kohima as notified earlier.
CWC consultation meet
DIMAPUR: Child welfare Committee (CWC) consultation meeting with directors from various NGOs and children home, lawyers and police officials on November 2 at DC’s conference Hall.
The meeting was chaired by S. Khro ADC, Dimapur and chairperson CWC. Tulula DWO/member secretary CWC briefed on Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICPS) and a presentation on powers and functions by Subonenba Longkumer, Project Director CECS/CWC member. The meeting resolved to follow the JJA system in mainstreaming the children in conflict with laws and children in need of care and need of protection.
The members also requested all children institutes/homes to get registered under Fit Institutes as per the JJA.
