NETSA elect office bearers
DIMAPUR: The Nagaland Evaluation Technical Service Association (NETSA) elected new office bearers for the term 2010-2013 with Shinito as president, A Anden Moklong as vice-president, Sentinuklu as general secretary, Paunamheing as assistant general secretary, Renchamo as finance secretary, Nungsangtula as treasurer and Zajamo Kikon as magazine secretary.
Longleng DPDB cum picnic
DIMAPUR: The Longleng District monthly District Planning & Development Board meeting cum picnic will be held at Yungmon River under Tamlu Sub-Division on December 11. Parliamentary Secretary RD & REPA, Pangnyu Phom and Parliamentary Secretary for Transport & Communication and Mechanical Engineering, P. Dako Phom will be present in the meeting. Deputy Commissioner Longleng, C. K. Nihekhu Sema has informed all DPDB members to attend the meeting without fail.
GPS Naltoqa inaugurated
DIMAPUR: Government Primary school Naltoqa was inaugurated on November 11 by MLA chairman NHHDC, Shetoi Sumi accompanied by DEO Ghuzui and BDO Khelovi. Meanwhile chairman of Naltoqa public board in this regard expressed gratitude to MLA chairman NHHDC, Shetoi Sumi, DAN government, DEO and staff for the success of installation new GPS.
Zunheboto district farmers’ tour
DIMAPUR: With a view to sensitize farmers to sustainable integrated hill farming system, ATMA Zunheboto organized a week-long exposure tour for farmers of Zunheboto district to Sikkim which concluded on November 21. The team visited a number of organic farms including Kiwi cultivation area and fruit preservation centre etc. Farmer to farmer interaction was also held in order to get first hand information on cultivation and marketing aspect. A total of 18 farmers including women, from two blocks of the district participated in the tour. The team was led by SDAO Satakha Hukato and SMS Zunheboto D.K. Chetri.
