Rejecting GPRN/NSCN’s recent allegation that Intangki Reserve Forest has been turned into farms belonging to so many officials from Hebron Camp, the NSCN (I-M) today said the charges were nothing but a “swarm of hyperbole and blatant lies”. A press release from NSCN (I-M)’s MIP said the allegations not only intended to “defame and tarnish” the images of its “imminent officials” but to compound hatred and communal rift among the Naga people and also to mislead general public. Saying that it “nullify” the allegations made against five of its senior officials, the NSCN (I-M) said: “there are no such farms or lands they have acquired in this Reserve Forest as their own so far.” It further went on to justify that “not even an iota or inch of land/plot” has ever been owned by its officials. Meanwhile, the NSCN (I-M) announced that any individual or party would be “handsomely rewarded” who could ascertain any farms/lands found to be in its leaders’ possession, particularly in Intangki Reserve Forest.
