Bar Council on filing of professional petition

All complaint of professional or other misconduct against advocate U/S 35 of the Advocates’ Act should be submitted to the state bar council in the form of a petition duly signed and verified by the complainant as required under the civil procedure code, stated Bar Council of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
Informing this in a press statement, secretary of Bar Council of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, M.C Bhuyan said the petition should contain the name and address of complainant and the respondent advocate and should when necessary be divided into paragraphs and numbered consecutively.
Copies of documents relied on should be annexed to the complaint and the complainant should summit five copies of the compliant and pay `450 towards complaint fee and expenses.
