Rang-Tarang: cultural fiesta at AR high school

Assam Rifles High School (ARHS) Kohima on Saturday celebrated its annual day with Shyama Sinha as the chief guest. The colourful function “Rang Tarang” was conducted at Karim Hall, 16th Assam Rifles Kohima.
Addressing the gathering, Shyama Sinha asserted that education was the foundation of every progression, adding “Education is the link for national growth and development.” She also stated that India should bury all differences of caste and religion and resort back to education as its essential focus.
Sinha further lauded the school for displaying spirit of unity in diversity through various performances.
Guest of honour for the programme, Yashmi Singh, president of ARWWA, IGAR (N), urged students to put their mind in their studies and make best use of their school days. She lauded the school for bringing out round development in students and making them responsible citizens.
Songs, dances, plays marked the celebration of the day.
The chief guest and guest of honour gave away prizes and certificates to students who excelled in academics and extra-curricular activities.
Brig. Ved Prakash, patron of Assam Rifles High School was the chief host.
