Nikhil to grace Hornbill Festival 2010

Nagaland governor, Nikhil Kumar would be gracing the Hornbill Festival on December 1 at 10 a.m at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama as the chief guest and chief minister, Neiphiu Rio would be the host. Angh of Honphoi Village, Mon, Buwang Konyak, the tribal guest would offer the traditional blessings. Rio will also declare the festival open followed by “Colours and Rhythms of Nagaland” – A cultural Exposition. According to an official bulletin, the inaugural function would also witness paragliding organised by YR&S department and Air Show by Nagaland Rajya Sainik Board. All tribes are busy engaging in clearing the waste and decorating their respective surroundings and morungs. Naga Regiment (Territorial Army) 164 Battalion, Jakhama is also constructing their morung for this festival. The Angami Public Organization had organized a social work on November 29 at the site. DDK Guwahati and Kohima officials from production and engineering wing have already reached Kisama and have inspected the spot for live telecast of the festival.
