Responding to the clarification issued by the Social Welfare Department on alleged backdoor appointments, the NSF has said accused the department of maliciously attempting to justify their manipulation contravening all norms of appointments with regard to gazette officers’ posts. NSF said such posts should be requisitioned through NPSC examination but were appointed on adhoc and contract basis though a test conducted by the department. It was pointed out that two persons were appointed CDPO on contract and deputation on June 14, 2010 and June 20, 2010. However, citing letter from the department, the NSF said the department conducted a written test examination on October 2, 2010 three months after the appointments of the two CDPOs.
The Federation queried the department as why it was justifying their conduct without even gazing at their own records. The NSF reiterated its demands to revoke any appointments made in the department without following proper norms and procedures.
