NU undergraduate exam
DIMAPUR: Nagaland University (NU) has informed that undergraduate examinations for BA,, and B Com, 2011 has been tentatively scheduled from February 22, 2011 in all approved examination centres of affiliated colleges under NU. Assistant registrar (exams) Otova Swu informed that details of the examination would be notified soon.
DIPR regrets
DIMAPUR: DIPR has expressed deep regret over the news item ‘Nagaland Governor, Nikhil Kumar to grace the Hornbill Festival 2010.’ An official bulletin clarified that Nikhil Kumar would be the chief host of the Hornbill Festival and declare the festival open and not as published.
Legislator’s forum meeting with AusAID: Meeting of Legislator’s Forum on AIDS (LFA), NSACS, UNDP, UNICEF with visiting team form Austrailia, Aus AID Australia Overseas Aid Programme has been convened on December 2, 2pm at Committee Room of Assembly Secretariat, Kohima. AusAID is the agency supporting HIV programme in India including Nagaland. The meeting would be attended by speaker, NLA, minister for health and family welfare, convener of LFA, deputy speaker and other including commissioner and secretary health and family welfare and project director NSCAS.
Dapfhutsumia annual day: Dapfhutsumia annual day would be held on December 11 at D. Khel ground, Seikhazou Kohima village. The annual day would be hosted by Dapfhutsumia Gazzeted Officer Krotho (DGOK). All members of Dapftutsumia have been informed to attend the meeting.
TSUK condemn assault : Tikhir Students’ Union Kiphire Town (TSUK) has condemned the 3rd NAP action were 11 students and youth was physically assaulted by the Jawans on November 5 at Waphure village without any reason. Union president Longkhamse alleged that such act as uncalled for and that it destroyed the image of high ranking officials. The union in support of its apex student body Tikhir Students Union, has strongly condemned the incident and requested the authority-in charge to fulfill the demand made by TSU.
RSB Air Show at Hornbill Festival postponed: Air Show by Rajya Sainik Board to be displayed at Hornbill Festival has been postponed to a later date due to unavoidable circumstances. Informing this, RSB Nagaland deputy director Wg. Cdr. Rajeev Dong regretted the inconvenience and said the confirmed date would be notified in local dailies on December 2.
TUWT general meeting cum picnic: Tenyimia Union Wokha Town (TUWT) has convened its general meeting cum picnic on December 4 at Chubi Bridge, Doyang Wokha. All Tenyimias residing at Wokha district and Lotha friends have been requested to attend the programme.
93rd All India Trade Test: Additional director, Muthingnyuba Sangtam has informed that list of successful candidates of 93rd All India Trade Test of Apprentices held in the month of October has been declared. The roll numbers of successful candidates are KM-01, KM-02, KM-03 and KM-04.
DNCRE general meet cum picnic: Dimapur Nkonjan Chukitong Range Ekhung (DNCRE) has convened its general meeting cum picnic of Chikitong range people residing at Dimapur on December 4, 10am at New Stadium, Dimapur. All range people have been requested to attend the programme.
STBC committee convener meeting: Sanis Town Baptist Church, golden jubilee (2010) planning committees has convened a committee convener meeting on December 4, 7:30 am at STBC office. All committee conveners have been requested to attend the meeting.
Change of nomenclature: Chandel Christian fellowship church Dimapur (CCFCD) Thahekhu block-V has changed its nomenclature to Chandel Union Church Dimapur (CUCD). In this regard, a dedication programme was conducted by executive secretary LNBA Rev. Daniel Tholung on November 28. All correspondence and mailing would be done through the CUCD, Thahekhu block-V, the Church informed. Meanwhile, the Church has requested the presence of all CUCD members at the pre-Christmas-cum-annual outing celebration on December 10 at Dhansiri Doyapur at 10am.
NCRCS annual conference: Nagaland Christian Revival Church Sumi (NCRCS) annual conference would be held on December 4 and 5, hosted by Suruhoto town on the theme “Kungugha lo kuxu michelu auvai”. Speakers for the services would be executive secretary Rev. Kiyezhe Chishi, director mission and evangelism NCRC Rev. Ahoshe Chophy, and pastor NCRC Thilixu Yehoto Swu. All council and executive members; women, youth, mission department; Living Bible College; Ayinato; and pastor fellowship NCRCS have been requested to reach the venue by 2 pm on December 3.
Pre-Christmas celebration at Raj Bhavan: Raj Bhavan Kohima will be celebrating Pre-Christmas at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan on December 4 at 6 pm.
DCC, Dimapur advent Christmas: District Congress Committee (DCC) Dimapur would be celebrating advent Christmas on December 4, 2pm at Congress Bhavan Dimapur. All Congress MLAs from Dimapur district, senior party leaders, ex- DMC members, DCC executives and office bearers, DMCC, DYC, Sevadal, Nsui, Minority Cell, all five ACCC office bearers, AMCC, AYC, Booth level presidents and general secretaries have been requested to attend the celebration.
