SMC 16th annual day

Sakus Mission College celebrated its 16th annual day cum parting social on Tuesday at SMC New Campus organized by education and sociology department with joint director, land resources Nagaland; Hoto Yepthomi as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Yepthomi stressed on importance of time, hard labor, ability to learn and fear of God for an all round development in a student’s life.
Stating there was time for everything in life, likewise he said one comes to an educational institute with an immature mind but eventually develops a matured setup by the time one graduates.
He also encouraged students to make use of their knowledge that is needed in the society not through mere degrees, but with extensive knowledge one gains in the process of learning. Yepthomi further exhorted the students to contribute and help the society and not destroy it, and urged them to be an asset and not a liability to the society.
Principal, S.M College; Asenla Aier said the reputation of the college rested in the hands of the pupils and advised students to work hard in order to achieve positive result.
Presentation of appreciation was also made in four categories for best faculty member, most punctual student, student securing distinction in class-12 (NBSE), and for the teacher who helped the student in securing distinction in class-12 exam.
