Nagaland Senior Government Employees’ Welfare Association (NSGEWA) has informed all its members who received Governor’s Commendation Award, President’s Gold Medal, President’s Police Medal or any such awards for meritorious service to submit true copies to NSGEWA office on any working day before Christmas between 11 am to 1 pm.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by NSGEWA chairman Roko Pier while conveying Christmas greetings to all members of the association, encouraged them to be strong and patient to overcome the situation they have been made to face since the time they “were forced to retire 13 months ago.”
Stating that members were facing harsh times as they were yet to receive any pension benefits till date, NSGEWA alleged that the state government, “adding salt to the injury”, was intentionally delaying the progress of pension papers and other benefits. “However there is one who is above everything, who oversees all happenings,” the release stated, urging members of the association to be patient over the prevailing situation.
