CLP meeting: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has convened a meeting on December 8, 3pm at the official residence of Tokheho Yepthomi CLP leader and leader of opposition at Minister Hill, Kohima. All the members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Church building dedication: Dedication service of Church building, NCRC prayer centre would be conducted on December 3, 3pm at prayer centre, Rüveba 7th mile Chümukedima, Dimapur. Rev. Dr. N. Paphino, president NCRC would administer the Church dedication.
Sowers Music Ministry reunion: The Sowers Music Ministry would be organizing its first get-together in 10 years on December 21 at 1pm at Fernbrook School behind Mount Sinai School Zuvotong colony Wokha. Interested persons have been requested to contact 9856243080 (Kohima), 9436616819 and 9131040009 (Dimapur).
Discharge order: Captain Ziisho alias Thomas S/o Sow of Maiba Village Shepournaramth Region GPRN/NSCN bearing army No. 8414 has been discharged from active service w.e.f. November 12. According to a press handout issued by chairman, Shepournaramth Region GPRN/NSCN, Ziisho has been discharged for misusing government fund. Shepournaramth Region GPRN/NSCN further added that Ziisho would be confined to his native village Maiba for six months.
SHG dissolved: Founder and former president, Queen Esther Self Help Group Dimapur, Mhabeni has informed that Queen Esther Self Help Group, Dimapur has been dissolved. The founding member while stating the group had been dissolved since 2009, warned member (s) using writing pad and seal of Queen Esther Self Help Group, Dimapur would be doing at their own risk.
DRFCB awareness campaign: Dhansiri River Flood Control Board (DRFCB) has informed all chairman, GBs, and residents of Dhansiri river bank to attend the awareness campaign to be held on December 3 at 2pm at Naharbari village (sports complex). Resource persons for the programme would be DFO Dimapur Kocha Meyase, member secretary NPCB Rusovil John, EE and flood control Er. Rozou Vilie, chief advisor DMC Er. Keditsu, and district administration, the board added.
NPBCA support on NBCC’s stand: Nagaland Police Baptist Churches association (NPBCA) has affirmed its support to the decision of NBCC with regard to Good News Mission (GNM). NPBCA has further informed its members not to associate and compromise with activities and doctrines of GNM.
GSU 48th annual session: Ghokimi Students’ Union (GSU) is celebrating its 48th annual session cum inauguration of union office building on December 27 to 29 at Ghokimi village with Ghunakha S. Swu rtd. additional secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly as chief guest. The session would be held under the theme “Think global; Act local). REV. Xuvishe Swu, pastor Believer Church Kharsang, would also speak on the topic “Nothing can substitute a hard work”. A special prayer would be conducted by Vikato Awomi pastor Ghokimi Baptist Church. All students have been requested to attend the program.
TSU 57th general session: The 57th general session of Thenyizumi Students’ Union (TSU) would be held on December 29 and 30 at village community hall. Neibunuo Kotso, reader, SCERT and chairperson of Mewi School would be guest speaker while Zhothisa Dawhuo, deputy speaker of Social welfare Kohima and Vekütülü Theyo, lecturer SCERT will be the session speakers on “Role of parents and students in the present competitive world” and “bridging the generation gap”. All elders, parents and students have been invited to the session.
LSUD ‘B’ 6th general session: Lotha Students’ Union Diphupar ‘B’ has convened its 6th general session on December 10 at village local ground on the theme ‘Introspect, Restropect students’ role in politics’ with N Mhabemo Muzhui, general secretary KSU Wokha as the speaker. Further, assistant general secretary has informed that nomination papers would be opened till December 8.
Revision of vegetable rates in Mkg: In view of the present market rates in other town and cities, the rate of under mentioned vegetables has been enhanced as follows by Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC). According to MMC Coordinator, N. Bendang Jamir the following rates would remain in force till further order: Potato (Old)-`15 per kg; Potato (new)-`20 per kg; Onion-`45per kg; Cauliflower-Rs. 30 per kg; Garlic-`150 per kg; Pitol-`25 per kg; Beans-`35 per kg; Tomato-`35 per kg; Green Chilly-`60 per kg.
SBAK Nito Mount, annual session: The 82nd SBAK Nito Mount annual session hosted by Ghokhuvi Baptist Church would be held from December 10-12, on the theme “Rooted deeper in God’s Word”. Speakers for the conference are Rev. Dr. Anjo Keikung, Gen. Secy. NBCC, Rev. Yevito Sumi, Executive secy SBAK, Rev. Vitoho Jimo Pastor Co-ordinator SBAK and Hutoli H. Achumi, Librarian Nito Theological College.
TSU 47th general session: Thetsü Students Union (TSU) 47th general session of the union will be held on December 28 with coordinator, entrepreneurs associates Kohima, Neichü Doulo as chief guest and pastor CBCC Sugar Mill Dr Kevekhalo Lasuh as guest of honour. All former presidents, executives, senior leaders and bonafide members have been requested to attend the session. Further, all meritorious students have been asked to submit a photocopy of their marksheet to general secretary before December 20. TSU meanwhile felicitated Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh for achieving doctorate degree in missiology from ACTS, South Korea.
47th general session of MSU: The 47th general session cum graduation day of Mesulumi Students Union (MSU) will be held on December 29 at GMS premises with advisor (political) to CM Z Lohe as chief guest. The union also informed all graduates or equivalent to submit photo copy of passed certificate/marksheet to the general secretary before December 25.
HRUD picnic cum fellowship: Picnic cum fellowship of Hoshepu Range Union Dimapur will be held on December 4, 10am at Kopa Nullah, 7th mile. All members have been requested to attend the programme.
Kulolau Vekuhomi Kuqhakulu meeting: The general meeting of Kulolau Vekuhomi Kuqhakulu will be held on December 4, 10 am at the residence of treasury officer Hoshito Aye at Chekiye village. All bonafide members of Vekuhomi have been requested to attend the meeting.
‘World Disability Day’: Yingli Mission Society (YMS) would be organizing ‘World Disability Day’ on December 3 at PPC Hall, Longleng with DC Longleng C.K. Nihekhu Sema as chief guest. The program sponsored by DMA (SSA) Longleng would include community leaders, women, students, Church, parents and friends of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and well wishers.
SSU 57th annual session: Sapotimi Students’ Union (SSU) has convened its 57th annual session from December 16 to 18 with K. Mughato Chophi, PS to MP Rajya Sabha Nagaland as chief guest and Kitoli Sumi Y/D as speaker. The session would be held under the theme, “Education our identity”. All elders, former executives, students and well wishers have been requested to attend the session.
UCC mass social work: United Colony Council (UCC) ward-29 Dimapur has called for a mass social work on December 4 from 6am till 9am within its jurisdiction. All business establishments have been asked to remain close during the drive, and GBs and council members have been requested to initiate in their respective sectors.
