Strongly condemning the abduction of one of its members Bipin Das by unidentified persons on December 2, the Dimapur District Garage Welfare Trade Union (DDGWTU) has threatened to go on strike if the district administration failed to expeditiously secure his safe release. DDGWTU president, Hukavi Murru and vice president, Kakheto Assumi also appealed those responsible to safely release its member without delay in the interest of the public. The Union said it would decide any further future course of action if the victim was not released on time.
