The monthly Peren DPDB was held on November 29 at DC’s Conference Hall Peren under the chairmanship of minister for planning and coordination and chairman DPDB, TR Zeliang.
The chairman welcomed the members and introduced two new officers Smita Sarangi SDO (C) Peren and K. Tali Jamir, treasury officer Peren to the house.
After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the house deliberated on construction of offices and residential building at the district headquarter, to request all the departments to submit the proposal for construction of office and residential building at the new district headquarter immediately.
The meet also deliberated on poor bank loans recovery and to create deposit ratio and lack of flow of institutional finance. In this regard the board requested branch manager of NSCB Jalukie and SBI Branches of Jalukie and Peren to initiate recovery steps with intimation to the administration.
Establishment of DSCO and executive engineer, INFC Officer at Peren was tabled for discussion and the board reiterated the earlier decision and recommended for establishment of office in Peren till setting up of new office at the new headquarter. Deliberating on the proposal of BSNL tower at the new district Headquarter, the house recommended for telephone connection at the new district Peren and for establishment of mobile tower at Kebai Khelma and Pamsiakilo under Athibung circle for better communication network.
While deliberating on the agenda of single teacher school under Peren district, DIS Peren highlighted certain problems faced by the department while imparting education to the masses. He informed the house that there were 27 schools running with a single teacher and some without teachers. To this, the board recommended early creation of teacher’s post against the deprived schools.
Deliberating on Khrishi Vigyan Kendra Peren, the board agreed and recommended the ICAR to take the KVK management of Peren.
Dwelling on the agenda for creation of post, the board after lengthy deliberation felt the need for creation of the following posts as the function in the district was most inconvenient due to absence of district tourist officer, district forest officer, asstt. engineer CAWD, district fishery officer and land record and survey officer. Discussing on the problem faced by Kebai-Khelma area, the board recommended PWD road maintenance from Athibung to Kebai-Khelma and instructed project director DRDA Peren on emergency and need base.
Earlier, power point presentation and paper presentation was given by executive engineer, INSC and executive engineer.
PHE department was asked to present its report in the next DPDB meeting without fail.
