TWS Tsiepfütsiepfhe celebrates silver anniversary

Tenyimia Welfare Society of Tsiepfütsiepfhe (AG Colony), Kohima celebrated its silver anniversary celebration on Saturday at the directorate of agriculture office compound, Kohima. Pele Khezhie, president of Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) was the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Pele expressed his best wishes and also paid tribute to all the founding members and society members on the occasion and challenged them to put in more dedication for the welfare of the society as well as citizens of Kohima town.
“We may come from different villages, but we should take this colony as our own village,” he said while urging the members to give their efforts toward peace, unity and better understanding among them and also with the others community living in the colony.
The chief guest while expressing resentment over the youth for their insincerity and extravagant lifestyle, asked them not to solely depend on their parents but to be sincere, dedicated and honest in their study or business. He also urged the elders to be honest and always speak the truth to set an exemplary life.
Earlier, chief guest released the jubilee souvenir. He also donated an amount of `1 lakh to the society, and `5000 each to the three singing groups.
The programme was chaired by N. Neilo Koza; prayer by Rev. Zhowhiyi Nyekha, Pastor, Chakhesang CRC, Upper PWD Kohima; special number presented by Neithonoulie Belho and friends, Krosale and friends, and jubilee choir- CYE CRC Tsiepfütsiepfhe Kohima; Tepungosa Sale gave a brief report on formation of the Society; Virul Kikhi, ex-president of society gave a speech based on expressions of elders; and Pfüra bi-o delivered the vote of thanks.
