Cultural fiesta at YUTT general session

11th general session of Yimchungru Union Tuensang Town (YUTT) was held on Friday at local ground Tuensang.
The cultural programme was graced by K. Akhum BDO, President Yimchungru Gazette Officer Association as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest urged the people to preserve culture.
Akhum also lauded Yimchungru Union Tuensang Town for organizing such programme in order to promote the rich culture in society and expressed hope that more cultural programme would be initiated in near future.
Cultural programme included, spear display, bamboo mouth piece, beating of log drum etc., and cultural dance by Kemephu cultural club.
During the programme, single and double badminton match was played by gazette officers, public leaders, DB’s, GB’s, senior citizens, YBC, YSUTT, CYE women department and YWO Tuensang.
The programme started with invocation prayer by Rev. Akhum, pastor YBC. The programme was chaired by Y. Sunnymongba vice president YUTT, invocation prayer by R. Throngji, associate pastor YBC, welcome address by Z. Kushang, president YUTT while vote of thanks was proposed by P. Showuba, secretary arts and culture, statistic YUTT.
During the general session, Yimchungru Union Tuensang Town (YUTT) along with general public on Saturday adopted various resolutions for the year of 2011-12.
