The Chancel Choir Foundation for Performing Arts in partnership with Event Factory and Hunting Boots Inc. would be organizing a musical concert on the theme “A Winter Mosaic” on December 10 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex Mokokchung. The show will feature a new age music virtuoso Mari Kvein Brunvoll of Norway besides various renowned artists from the north east.
Highlighting on the concert, Lipokmar Tzudir, the Director of Chancel Choir Foundation for Performing Arts, under whose initiative the concert is being organized said, Solveig Korum, head of International Projects, Rikskonsertene/concert Norway would be visiting Nagaland to scout for talents as well as survey possibility of collaborations in the Northeastern region. Rikskonsertene is an official wing of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and heads international cultural projects of the Minister of external Affairs for the Royal Government of Norway, he added.
He also disclosed that Solveig Korum would arrive Nagaland on the December 6 and is likely to meet officials from the Government of Nagaland between December 6 and 8 to entertain the possibility of future collaborations.
Lipokmar further said that the move of the Norway government was initiated after a memorandum of understanding for cultural exchange signed between the Government of India and the Royal Government of Norway in 2008.
