Youth trained in masonry and house painting

A three day Masonry and house painting training was conducted from December 2 to 4 at Chozuba Town Baptist Church on the theme ‘Work and live’. The training organized by youth department, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) and sponsored by Government of Nagaland under the programme of ‘Year of Entrepreneurs’ was attended by 55 youth from Chozuba area.
GM DIC, Chozuba Jongpongtuba Ao, in his inaugural speech challenged the Naga youth to take up entrepreneurship through different disciplines. He thanked the Chakhesang community for initiating ‘Ban of Livestock’ from outside district and also spearhead in masonry and house painting training and thereby promoting self employment avenues, for which other tribes should follow their example by building positive society. He lamented that uncountable amount of money went to non-local laborers from this profession.
Er. Renilo Nuh, assistant director, New & Renewable Energy, Nagaland spoke on “Architectural principles and construction technique”, Er. Daniel, SDO, PWD (R & B), Chephobozou on “Design and Estimate of a Building”; Er. Vekho Swüro, executive engineer, CAWD on “Basics of mason and house painting”.
Vekusa Lohe, Pastor, Chozuba Town Baptist Church encouraged youth on importance of ‘Dignity of labor’ from the word of God. Khriesavoi Swüro, Head Mistry along with his team from Rüzazho Building Construction Society gave practical talk on construction works. During the practical session a dustbin compose pit was constructed for the Church as well as for Church-run-School.
