CJ Guwahati High Court visits Mkg
DIMAPUR: Chief Justice Guwahati High Court, Justice Madan B. Lokur arrived Mokokchung on Tuesday on a day visit. An official bulletin informed that Justice Madan who arrived via Wokha visited Mokokchung district Session Court and also met Deputy Commissioner, Lithrongla G. Chishi in the evening. Justice Madan B. Lokur would be visiting all district session courts in the state. Earlier he also visited the Hornbill Festival at Kisama during his stay in Kohima.
Mass cake race in Mokokchung
DIMAPUR: One of the important events in heralding Christmas in Mokokchung- mass cake race which has become a tradition, would be organised on December 24 in the heart of Mokokchung town. In this connection, ADC and administration Mokokchung Municipal Council has convened a meeting on December 13 in the Conference Hall of Mokokchung Municipal Council to chalk out the programme. He informed all Advisory Committee of Mokokchung Municipal Council, additional SP Mokokchung, SP Wireless, CMO, ladies Club Mokokchung and Mokokchung chamber of commerce and industries to attend the meeting.
Training on broom making
DIMAPUR: In order to enable the rural farmers to start selling finished products during the ensuing season, training on making of broom would be conducted by Confederation of Naga Farmers’ Union (CONFU)on December 16 at its Central Store, behind Hotel Nagi, Dimapur (Opp. Hotel Saramati) at 10 am, coinciding with Agri Expo. All CONFU joint secretaries and divisional presidents have been informed to attend the training. Any other SHG member or individual are also informed to attend the training.
Longleng DPDB meeting
DIMAPUR: The next DPDB meeting -cum- picnic of Longleng would be held on the bank of Dikhu (Yungmon) under Tamlu sub-division on December 10 and 11. All DPDB members have been informed to reach the venue on December 10. Parliamentary secretary of 49 A/C and 50 A/C would be attending the meeting.
DPDB Kohima core committee meeting
DIMAPUR: Core Committee meeting of DPDB Kohima has been convened on December 9, 11 am at ADC (Administration) Conference Hall Kohima. According to an official bulletin the meeting has been convened to review the action plan DPDB 2010 and to deliberate on follow up actions for which ADC (Planning) Ketoho Luho has requested all members to attend the meeting.
Seithekema ‘A’ bans hunting and fishing
DIMAPUR: Seithekema ‘A’ village council has enforced ban on hunting and fishing at Seithekema A. The council has informed youths and all the members of the village in general to actively adhere to the order. The council also informed that land or field owners should not carry fire arms, air guns and fishing items etc to their land/field. Village council further notified that penalties such as fines and all items found from the possession of the violators would be sized.

DIMAPUR: Thetsiimi Students’ Union (TSU) has convened its 47th general session on December 28 with Neichiite Doulo, Co-ordinator, Entrepreneurs Associates, Kohima as the session chief guest and Dr Kevekhalo Lasuh, Pastor, Sugar Mill, CBCC Dimapur as the guest of honour. All ex-presidents, ex-executives, senior leaders and members have been requested to attend the session.
