Developmental Authority Nagaland Regular Staff Association (DANRSA) has issued clarification with regard to land allotment to DAN by the government.
According to DANRSA a land measuring 110B-02K-10Ls was allotted to DAN by the government on July 5, 1979 for construction of market complex, highlighting the boundaries.
DANRSA reiterated that DAN made its patta on May 14, 2006 and since then have been paying tax regularly.
DANRSA president Tsaki Sangtam, general secretary Renuka Devi and vice president K. Sale in a press statement said the statement of DC contradicted in measurement of DAN land by LRSO office Dimapur and PWD surveyor which showed 112-02-02 and 114-2-6 ½ respectively.
DANRSA also added that board of directors conducted a joint verification on May 11 and submitted the report to DC by LRSO office on May 14 which stated that DAN’s actual occupation of land was only 107B-05K-19Ls as the land measuring to 4.6 bighas did not come under DAN’s occupation as it had already been handed over to the BSNL. Regarding the survey report by the PWD surveyor which showed 114B-01K-6.5Ls DANRSA justified that it was because the boundary was taken at the edge of the wall on the side of the road which covered part of the road reservation falling under Dag no 2 of block 2. DANRSA further clarified that excess occupation by the department as alleged did not arise.
