Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) has condemned the December 2 incident at West Bengal where ABSI (RO) of 10th IRB Kwerieheung Dominic Zeliang was “ruthlessly murdered without any reason” by constable Purlemba of Nokpu village.
Union questioned the government as to how a “mentally ill” person has been recruited for a responsible service and demanded that the culprit be awarded “sukha-discharge” and punished as per the law of the land.
ZSUN also affirmed its support for the charter of demand made by Zeliangrong Baudi Hoho Dimapur on the course of action in connection with the killing, and further conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members of late Dominic.
Meanwhile, Zeliangrong Baudi- Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (ZB-AMN) also condemned the “inhuman act” of constable Purlemba Ao, who indiscriminately fired upon Kwerieheung Dominic Zeliang ABSI (RO) of 10th NAP (IR) posted at Purulia (West Bengal) and killing him on the spot on December 2.
“In his demise we have lost a great soul, a true soldier and a sincere and dedicated officer. The vacuum created will never be filled again,” ZB-AMN stated.
While extending support and solidarity to the demands put forward to the government of Nagaland by Zeliangrong Baudi, ZB-AMN urged upon authority in-charge to award the culprit with befitting course of action as per the law of the land. ZB-AMN also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
