DNSU seize banned items

Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU) Wednesday conducted a surprise checking at shops near some schools and colleges in Dimapur and seized a large quantity of banned near “20-20” guthka from a shop at Public College of Commerce area.
DNSU executives said the banned items were being sold openly within the vicinity of educational institution despite the order from the district administration (no-JUD-3/2003-DCD) prohibiting the sale of Talab, Tez, 1000 and such related items in Dimapur.
They also stated that some sections of the business community were found selling such contraband and even resorting to introducing new brands of guthkas in the market. DNSU urged the district administration to check and ensure that the ban order was enforced in practical for the welfare of youths and students in particular and citizens in general.
