National voters’ day

Election Commission of India has announced that January 25 of every year would be observed as National Voters’ Day starting from 2011. In this connection, the Commission has issued directive that two voters from each of the polling stations under Kohima district have to study questionnaires and give responses from Sl.No.1 to 10. According to DIPR, the additional deputy commissioner & electoral registration officer Kohima, Alun Hangsing has informed that the concerned Booth Level Officer shall ensure that the particulars of the voter, who fill in responses, were obtained at the bottom of page-2 under Respondent Profile which shall be authenticated with the signature of concerned Booth Level Officer. All the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers/Supervisory Officer have been informed to issue the copies of Questionnaires/Notice to all the Booth Level Officer under his/her charge. The duly filled up Questionnaires should be submitted to the additional deputy commissioner & electoral registration officer, Kohima not later than December 15.
