Wozhuro Middle school established in the year 1947 was upgraded to Government High School on December 8, after 63 years. Commissioner & secretary school education, Mhathung Kithan (IAS) gracing the programme as chief guest, called upon VEC and council members to have more interactions for the betterment of the school.
He said that money was being sanctioned by the government however; he reminded that it was the people who have to perform his/her assigned duties, for the uplift of the school.
Earlier, the chief guest unveiled the monolith of the newly upgraded Wozhuro GHS. In the programme, joint secretary, land records and survey Wopenshio Khuvung exhorted the gathering and called upon them for the improvement and upliftment of the school.
Chief engineer, PHE Mhondamo Ovung who proposed vote of thanks urged upon the people of Wozhuro circle to work tirelessly for the betterment of the school. Villagers from Wozhuro circle consisting of 6 villages, GBs, elders and well wishers attended the programme which was organized in a grand manner.
In another programme on the same day, Phiro village Primary School was upgraded to Middle School, where additional secretary school education and mission director, O.T. Chingmak unveiled the monolith.
