Blast in brick kiln leaves 3 dead and scores injured

A blast in inside a brick kiln Thursday at around 5 p.m. at L.Hutovi village left three dead and around 24 others injured, all of them labourers.
The blast reportedly took place when a huge amount of gas got accumulated inside the kiln . Incidentally, it was reported that the kiln had opened for the first time on Thursday.
According to initial reports received, the blast took place at the STAR brand of bricks located at L Hutovi village, leaving one person spot dead and around 24 injured, including the owner of the kiln, Sushil Das.
Meanwhile, reports from District hospital confirmed that 16 persons including six children injured in the blast were admitted, of which one was brought dead while another male child succumbed to injuries. Sources also added that eight were also admitted at Zion hospital.
Reliable sources also further informed that the list of injured might go up considering the impact of the blast which was even heard in some areas around the town.
