WSBAK on ‘Good News Mission’
DIMAPUR: Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK) has informed all members to be aware of the ‘Good News Mission’ led by Ock Soo Park. WSBAK cautioned this group has been branded ‘heretic’ by Baptist convention of Korea and Christian council of Korea. In support to NBCC’s plea, executive secretary, WSBAK, Rev. S. Vitoshe Swu advised its member not to participate in the forthcoming Bible crusade to be held in Dimapur.
Drugs seized from abandoned vehicle
DIMAPUR: Wokha police personnel led by SDPO Bhandari, Tumchobemo and OC Wokha, Benrio seized 14,000 tablets of banned drug 'Relipen' from vehicle bearing registration number AS05-5900 on November 19. According to police report, the vehicle was abandoned by the culprit and the case has been registered for further investigation.
YTUKT general session
TUENSANG: Yimchungru Tribal Union Kiphire Town (YTUKT) has convened a general session on November 27 at 8am at the residence of its treasurer at Kiphire town. All members and residents of Kiphire town have been requested to attend the general session.
Leadership training for NCSU
KOHIMA: ‘Leadership Training’ on Biblical Style would be conducted for NCSU on November 24, 11am at NCSU Conference Hall, PWD junction Kohima with resource person Rev. Luoliehu Yimsung, Coordinator, Global Indigenous Prayer Network Australia (GIPNA), Ambassador-at-large overseas Naga Association (ONA). NCSU head office Kohima has informed all district unit office bearers, executive members, action committee of NCSU Dimapur, Wokha, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Phek, Zunheboto and Peren to attend the training.
CRC combine fellowship
KOHIMA: Nepali, Nagamese and Hindi (CRC) combine fellowship will be held at Piphema Prayer Centre from November 27 and 28. The programme would be held under the theme “Ask the lord of the harvest therefore sent out workers into the harvest field “ Matt 9:38.

Volleyball tourney at Lotsu village
Dimapur, Nov 19 (NPN): The 7th late Chijamo and late Ashunga Volley Ball Trophy was conducted on November 5 at Lotsu village, Wokha with Mhonchumo Ovung, general secretary (admn) of Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress as the chief guest, while Yanbamo, chairman of Moilan and senior citizen Nsemo exhorted the gathering.
Chess championship in Phek from Nov.30
Dimapur, Nov 19 (NPN): Phek District Chess Association (PDCA) would be organizing its 6th open chess championship from November 30 to December 1 at Phek town.
According to PDCA, the championship is open to all the residents of Phek District. Cash prizes of Rs.10,000, Rs.6000, Rs.4000 and Rs.2000 would be awarded to overall champion, 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners-up respectively along with cup and certificate.

Ngwalwa Village Council grateful
Dimapur, Nov 19 (NPN): Ngwalwa Village Council (NVC) has expressed gratitude to minister for planning and co-ordination, T.R. Zeliang, MP C.M. Chang the chief guest of the opening function for his commitment of Rs.1lakh for the construction of rostrum, president Zeliang Officers Association, Pausui the chief guest of the closing function for donating Rs.50,000 to the organizing committee.
The council also thanked Peren District Referee Association (PDRA). At the tournament, Mhainamtsi Youth emerged as the winner followed by Jalukie Town Youth and Poilwa Youth finishing in the second and third places respectively.
Pring lifts late Chandrasing trophy
Diphu, Nov 19: Pring club overcame Walingdisa by 2-1 to lift the late Chandrasing Timung memorial football tournament final played at Daldali Mohan Timung gaon on November 17. The trophy was given to the winner by the chief guest Dilip Thapa, VDC chairman of the locality. (Correspondent)
