KSSU meeting
KOHIMA: An executive meeting of Kohima Sumi Students’ Union (KSSU) has been convened on November 25 at the residence of its banker Manna Yepthomi, at Para Medical colony Kohima. All executive members have been asked to attend the meeting. Further, KSSU has lauded Tsukoli Kinimi for winning Miss Sulimi held at Zunheboto.
ASA executive meeting
KOHIMA: Angami Sports Association (ASA) executive meeting would be held on November 24, 2pm at APO Hall, Kohima. All ASA office bearers and all presidents & secretaries of constituent Units (CASA, NASA, WASA, SASA) have been requested to attend the meeting.
KDSUD emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Kiphire District Sumi Union Dimapur (KDSUD) has convened an emergency meeting on November 21 at 2pm at the residence of its banker Khevito Chishi at Thahekhu village.
Orientation programme at Phek
DIMAPUR: One day district level orientation programme on “Homeopatic on Mother and Child care” would be conducted at Phek on November 23 at chief medical officer’s conference hall at 9:30 am. Deputy Commissioner Phek, Mikha Lomi would be attending the programme as the chief guest.
Health Mela in Tobu
DIMAPUR: Department of health and family welfare, Mon would be organizing health mela in Tobu CHC on November 25, 8am with ADC Tobu, N. Tsanglao as chief guest. All citizens of Tobu block have been requested to avail the opportunity for free health check up.
NPYC executive meet
DIMAPUR: An executive meeting of Nagaland Pradesh Youth (NPYC) has convened on November 22, 11am at Dimapur. The proposed meeting would be held in presence of Mahendra, Secretary, Indian Youth Congress and in charge of Nagaland. All NPYC office bearers and district youth Congress presidents, general secretaries have been requested to attend the meeting.
ANSTA 17th session
DIMAPUR: The 17th session of All Nagaland Teachers Association (ANSTA) Tobu unit will be held on November 24 at Tobu town under the theme “Teaching is my mission” with SIS Tobu Circle S. Panglem as speaker. All executive members and pensioners under Tobu jurisdiction have been informed to attend the programme.
TABCC annual meeting
DIMAPUR: The annual meeting of Tizu Area Baptist Church Council (TABCC) would be held on November 27 and 28 at Sohomi Village Baptist Church on the theme “Being rooted in the words of God”. Speakers would be Mhasituo Nuwiry Chairman, TABCC, Dukhüyi former pastor KBC, Nuchitso Nuwiry former pastor, SBC. Further executive meeting has also been convened on November 26 at 2pm.
IRCSN team visit Star brick factory
DIMAPUR: Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland (IRCSN) state branch team with the officials of Dimapur district branch on Thursday visited Star brick factory at L. Hutovi village, where 6 died and 24 labourers seriously injured in a chimney blast. The team was led by Zakie Kire, general secretary and distributed rice and atta to the affected families. The team also interacted with the factory owner and urged him to extend all possible help for the welfare of the families of those who died and were injured on the fateful day.


AAGBU emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Aqahuto Area GB’s Union (AAGBU) has convened an emergency meeting of all GBs, village council chairmen under Aqahuto area and office bearers of Aqahuto area public union on November 21, 1pm at Ghowoto village.
KLRSU assembly
DIMAPUR: Kyong Lower Range Students’ Union (KLRSU) will hold its 2nd union assembly on December 3, 10am at Bhandari town guest house. KLRSU informed all its unit presidents, representatives and executive members to attend the assembly along with agendas. The union further cautioned that action would be taken on absentees as per union’s constitution.
SRSU condemn assault
DIMAPUR: Satakha Range Students’ Union (SRSU) has condemned the incident where one of its members Tokiye Sumi of Nunumi village was assaulted and manhandled by a Deputy Kilonser, GPRN/NSCN. SRSU appealed the authority in-charge to book the culprit and give punishment as per the law.
UBC revival and healing crusade
DIMAPUR: Union Baptist Church (UBC) Peren conducted revival and healing crusade from October 15 to 17 with pastor, Cross Wonder Church Kohima, Ketuo as main speaker. Meanwhile, UBC Peren informed that computer program awareness was conducted with NIC Peren from October 29 to 31. The union further acknowledged DIO Peren, N.B Mohanty and friends for their services during the awareness program.
KCCI to organize night bazaar
DIMAPUR: Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) would be organizing Kohima night carnival in collaboration with government of Nagaland from December 1 to 7 as part of the annual Hornbill festival. In this connection, KCCI has informed all individuals, organizations interested to set up stalls for the Kohima night carnival to collect application forms from the office of KCCI during office hours. The last date of submission of form is November 23.
DEO Dimapur remind private schools
DIMAPUR: District education officer (DEO) Dimapur has reminded all private schools including Navodaya & Kendriya Vidyalaya, CBSE, NEMS, SSA & ICSE to collect mandatory District Information of School Education (DISE) format from DEO Dimapur’s office on or before November 25.
SVC elects new chairman
DIMAPUR: Seluophe Village Council (SVC) held a joint meeting with the women society and the youth organisation on October 30. The meeting elected Wepfüte Chirhah as village council chairman. SVC informed that all official works of the village would be carried out and executed by Wepfüte henceforth.
60 A/C NPF to monitor HoD’s function
DIMAPUR: 60 A/C NPF, Pungro area held a meeting and resolved to monitor the functioning of all head of department and monitor attendance and appointments on public health centre and education department. The party has requested all departments to cooperate and to be sincere in imparting their services to the public.
16 A/C NPF first meeting
DIMAPUR: First meeting of the newly elected office bearers 2010-2012 under 16 A/C NPF Pfutsero was held on November 15 at the party’s head office, Pfutsero. Introductory Speech was made by president 16 A/C NPF, W. K Ritse. Others who spoke in the meeting were Yekhuse Tureng, Kedoungupe Ritse, CEC NPF and Meyeilo Kapfo, secretary nomination committee, NPF.
Meanwhile, the newly elected office bearers have extended their gratitude to chief minister Neiphiu Rio and SPB Chaiman, CSS Neiba Kronu for having faith and appointing them in the new team.
Training on fixation of pay on promotion/ACP
DIMAPUR: Joint director, treasuries & accounts, training, research and monitoring institute, Purana bazaar has informed that training on fixation of pay on promotion/ACP, pension/family pension as laid down in Nagaland services (ROP) rules for JDAs and Sr. D.As working in various works division within in Dimapur district would held on December 2, 8, 9 and 12. Meanwhile, training for JAA and SAA was held on November 9-19, accounts personnel from different treasuries and sub-treasuries participated in the training programme.
NPF Kohima division picnic-cum-sports
DIMAPUR: Picnic-cum-sports was held by NPF Kohima division on November 17 at Sithie Park, Tsiesema Basa village hosted by 11 northern Angami A/C II. Chief minister Neiphiu Rio and advisor IT, Chairman DPDB Vikho-o Yhoshü graced the occasion as special guest besides contractors, officers, and public leaders from various organisation. The party has expressed gratitude to the host constituency, guests, and all participants for their support, cooperation, and unity during the occasion.
2 NNC members join NSCN (I-M)
DIMAPUR: NSCN (I-M) has welcomed NNC/FGN (Adinoh) “medan peyu” and WTR (south zone) finance secretary Chinaongai and “sergeant” Chuimeiso Keishing who joined NSCN (I-M) on November 19 at CHQ. MIP NSCN (I-M) stated in a release that the two have come forward to join its fold “without an iota of doubt” to be a partakers in realizing Nagas’ future under the collective leadership of Isak and Th. Muivah. NSCN (I-M) expressed appreciation to the two “homecomers” for their “timely realization and decision”.
Kohima Changki officers general meeting
DIMAPUR: Annual general meeting of Kohima Gazetted Officer Telongjem (Union) (KCOT) comprising of 86 members was held at the residence of Toshi Aier, additional chief secretary and financial commissioner on Wednesday.
Those who attended the meet included, retired state government officials of Changki area also associated members of the union. Exhorting the members of KCOT, state vigilance commissioner Metongmeren, IAS, underscored the need to have a solid and strong unity among the 3 officers to fulfill aims and objectives of the KCOT in various fields of development in the common interest of the Changki society. Prof. Talli, retired director of education, also spoke in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by KCOT president, Senli Ao.
