Jalukie Town Youth Organisation (JTYO) has issued rejoinder to excise department on the issue of illegal collection of tax from liquor dealers of Jalukie town.
JTYO president, Hailamsong said the allegation by excise department which was published in local dailies on November 10 was “baseless and has no proof”.
JTYO claimed that the organization had enough proof and evidence for any action and requested the legal authority and department in-charge to visit the spot and verify the case.
The organization said it would extend cooperation and volunteer to officials for any investigation and verification of its statement.
It may be mentioned that Jalukie town youth organization on November 7 flayed the excise department Peren district for illegally collecting tax from illegal liquor sellers of Jalukie town and allowing them to run business at Jalukie town granting 3 months permit per vendor.
JTYO questioned whether the excise department was authorized to issue written or verbal license to the banned liquor dealers at Jalukie. However, the excise department in a rejoinder alleged the statement made JTYO as “baseless and illegal”, without any material proof.
