Veterinary camp at Tuophema, Chukitong

Veterinary camp was organised by 14 Mobile Field Veterinary Hospital commanded by Lt.Col SS Balaje of 3 corps, Rangapahar on November 15 at Tuophema village (TV).
More than 1300 livestock were treated, de-wormed, and vaccinated led by Captain Vikas Sharma and three other veterinary assistants.
While thanking the army personnel for their effort in helping the villagers, chairman Tuophema village expressed hope that such camps would be held even in the near future.
Meanwhile, 41 Assam Rifles in collaboration with 3 Corps veterinary hospital (Mob.Fd.) conducted a free veterinary camp at Chukitong on November 19.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of Captain Vikas Sharma and his team of three assistants, who treated and vaccinated more than 1700 livestock.
Veterinarians of animal husbandry department also assisted the team in carrying out vaccination of cattle and pets.
The veterinary camp was presided over by Kyong Hungjantaren Ekhung general secretary Dr. Limathung Jami.
Further, Chukitong head GB, on behalf of the villagers, thanked 41 Assam Rifles and 3 Corps for organizing the camp for the benefit of Chukitong village farmers and expressed hope that such camps would be conducted once a year.
