Meluri Students’ Union (MSU) conducted verification of Inner Line Permit during the first week of November at Meluri. Alarmed at the sudden influx of immigrants, the union cautioned guarantors to be aware of the problems and complexities of immigrants in the state.
According to the union there had been huge influx of immigrants comparing to previous years and some defaulters were penalized during the verification drive.
Meanwhile, MSU also informed in a press statement that a literary day was held on October 30 at indoor stadium, Meluri town on the theme “Eguo, Enyi, Ezhü” with Nyusietho Nyuthe, ADC Phek as the speaker.
Quiz competition, prepared speech, crossword and extempore speech were some of the highlights of the day.
Students from Phokhungri area Meluri town, Reguri area and Meluri Students’ Union competed in various categories.
