Chang Union of Saksi NAP sector, Tuensang conducted one-day mass social work on November 16 along the road leading to Sao Chang Government College from National Highway-202 (former NH-155).
This initiative was taken in view of extremely deteriorating conditions of the road which lied within the union’s jurisdiction.
Altogether 217 members participated on this mass social work.
Chang Union in this regard has thanked commandant, 3rd BN N.A.P Tuensang for granting a day leave for Chang Jawans and providing a truck and financial help, Sao Chang College authority for donating cash of `20,000, Brig. H.S. Fojdar of Sector 7 (Assam Rifles) for providing a JCB, Tuensang Town Council (TTC) for providing a truck, PWD (mechanical) Tuensang for providing a truck and general secretary of Sao Chang College Students’ Union for financial help.
Chang union president B. Berimong and general secretary H. Wongto in a press release stated that timely help from well wishers was instrumental in making the initiative a big success.
