‘A Winter Mosaic’ at Mokokchung

Chancel Choir Foundation for Performing Arts Nagaland would be organizing a north east winter concert under the theme “A Winter Mosaic” on December 10, at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung.
The concert will feature a new age music virtuoso, Mari Kvein Brunvoll of Norway along with various prominent artistes of the North-East like Lipokmar Tzudir (conductor and composer), recipient of the ‘Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar’, Nise Meruno (pianist and baritone soloist) recipient of Governor’s, Mami Varte, pop singer, Mizoram, Reuben Mashangva, solo blues artist, Manipur, Moanungsang, winner of first edition Naga Idol, Mokokchung Chancel Choir, Patkai Alumni Singers, Guru Zachanu and students (Chakesang folk artists).
The purpose of the concert is to bring artists of various orientations under one platform and advocate the fact that Music is indeed a medium of expression that embodies harmony, cohesiveness, and universal well being.
The show would aim to put up a hundred member voice ensemble to join Mokokchung Chancel Choir and Patkai Alumni singers, and in this regard, interested individuals/choirs, have been asked to contact 9436215486/9612057723/9615191515. The rehearsals for the show would commence from November 22 at Mokokchung Channel hall (below Elate hostel).
Since its inception in 2005, The Chancel Choir Foundation for performing Arts has been actively involved in nurturing and promoting talents of the North East, and is once more pleased to organize a winter music concert aimed at bringing various genres of music cultures (pop, traditional, classical, folk)in one platform.
